Russia’s War, the World's Food: The Successes and Challenges of Ukrainian Agricultural Producers in the Midst of War
We are pleased to announce a symposium featuring thirteen members of the Ukrainian agricultural community who will discuss the impacts of the Russian invasion on their efforts to continue to feed the world in the midst of full-scale war. These thirteen delegates have been granted special permission by the Ukrainian government to travel to the United States to share their experiences with us.

Topics to be discussed will include:
- The status of agricultural exports through the Black Sea
- The impact of war mobilization of men to serve in the Ukrainian armed forces
- Investment needs in Ukraine to sustain agricultural production
- Anticipated needs for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine
- US assistance that could be useful during wartime and after a Ukrainian victory
This event will provide an opportunity for face-to-face discussions with members of the agricultural community who continue to work in Ukraine and fight on the economic front. The Ukrainian delegates will include representatives of the full range of the Ukrainian agricultural community, including owners and managers of agricultural operations, agricultural construction companies, machinery providers, NGOs and those involved in the political process including a Member of the Ukrainian Rada (Parliament).
