R&D and Senior Design Showcase

Participating in the SEAS R&D and Senior Design showcase can be a beneficial experience for students and provides a chance to develop their skills in presenting their research. Every undergraduate, master, PhD students, postdoctoral scholars, and research scientists are welcome to submit abstracts to the showcase. Students and researchers from other schools and departments are also welcome.

March 24 - Student Participant Application Due
April 10-21 - Poster PDF Submission Due
April 28 - Showcase Day

Abstract Guidelines

Please submit an abstract with a 200 word limit as a PDF via the "Apply Here" link

Poster Guidelines

Your poster will measure 36" x 48" (landscape) and will be clipped

to a tri-fold foam board (clips and foam boards will be provided on Showcase day). The Dean’s Office will not be responsible for the cost of printing your poster. However, you may ask your department or your project mentor if they are willing to cover the cost of printing. Please be sure to use the new GW and GW Engineering branding on your poster. PRINTING RESOURCES

Free on-campus large format printing is available at Create Digital Studio (First Floor, Gelman Library) – use this link to submit your print. Prints are usually available within 48 hours.
Fedex at 2020 K Street offers GW students a discount, an unmounted (paper only) 3'x2' print costs $32. Send PDFs via email to [email protected] and put "Poster, GW Engineering student" in the subject line. Typical turnaround is 24 hours.
PosterNinja in Richmond, Virginia provides unmounted (paper only) 3'x2' prints to campus in approximately 3 business days at the cost of $40 dollars. Shipping is $12.99 or free if you place an order over $50 (bundle a couple of posters).
The GW Innovation Center in Tompkins Hall M06 can print posters at no cost as long as supplies last. Email your PDF to [email protected] or stop by during Open Hours, M-F 1-6 pm. Please allow 4 days.
