Giving Day 2024 is Here!

Giving day 2024

Dear GW Engineering Community,

Today, we celebrate The George Washington University’s largest Annual Giving event. Starting at noon today, Wednesday, April 3, through noon tomorrow, Thursday, April 4, the entire GW community will spend 24 hours generating support for its Fourth Annual Giving Day.

I understand that you’re receiving several emails about the importance of this day and the opportunity to support critical funds across campus - but I wanted to take this opportunity to specifically reach out to the members of GW Engineering’s community.

During last year's Giving Day, over 200 donors supported GW Engineering. Alumni, parents, faculty and staff gave to dozens of areas, including the Center for Women in Engineering (WiE), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), graduate fellowships, individual departments and the Dean's Fund.

Over the next 24 hours, we want to set a new record for Giving Day gifts and surpass the 300 donor mark. Our goal is to raise funds that will provide resources to expand the opportunities that support the success of our students inside and outside of the classroom.

When you make a donation to a GW Engineering fund, you help us foster meaningful engagements for GW Engineers so that all of our students graduate prepared, confident, and equipped to achieve their goals after they leave GW.

Every dollar of support can have a big impact, so there is no donation too small. We hope that you will take a few minutes and donate a small (or large) gift online today. To inspire new gifts, Civil Engineering alumni, Patricia Calvo ’81 and Jorge Calvo ’80, will match new gifts to SEAS up to $5,000.
