Class of 2021: Senior Stand-outs
Congratulations to the Class of 2021! For the next several weeks, SEAS will profile some of the remarkable members of this year’s senior class, and we’ll post all of them here.
Donivyn Cruz ‘21, a biomedical engineering major, was attracted to the School of Engineering and Applied Science because “it’s a hub of innovation.”
While he was enlisted in the Navy Gregory Drake--stationed in Washington, DC--became interested in the field of engineering. While searching for universities, Drake was drawn to SEAS’s curriculum as well as the school’s support of part-time and veteran students.
Sarah Morin ‘21 was drawn to the School of Engineering and Applied Science after witnessing how committed faculty members were to students when she first visited campus.
When Richard Sear ‘21 enrolled at the School of Engineering and Applied Science, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to study. “What drew me to GW was its brand new engineering building and its reputation for student involvement in both research and internships.”
Katie Goldrick ‘21, a senior studying biomedical engineering (BME), says that enrolling at SEAS was sparked by her desire to be part of a small community of students.
Biomedical engineering major Michael Degaga ‘21 was drawn to SEAS because of its tight knit academic community. “This has allowed me to develop close relationships with my professors, advisors, and students in my major,” the senior reflects.
