Bill combined his love of art and computer graphics at GW Engineering. He’s now an Oscar winning special effects supervisor.

Jay concentrated on computer science and cybersecurity. He later founded a start-up company and was named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list.

Allegra graduated in 2020 with a BS in mechanical engineering, and now has begun PhD studies in aerospace engineering at MIT.

As an undergraduate, Shayda landed internships with Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, Honeywell Aerospace, and Cisco Systems, and she parlayed that experience into her career as a patent attorney.

After graduating from GW with a BS in biomedical engineering, Sragvi received an MS in biomedical engineering from Columbia University in 2019. Since graduating, he has founded several startups and earned a patent.

Dr. Megan Leftwich and her students work with the Smithsonian National Zoo to conduct research on sea lion swimming. They aim to apply it to improving the performance of vehicles, especially underwater autonomous vehicles.

Brianna Cathey & Sofian Obaid

As undergraduates, Sofian and Brianna designed a 3D-printed optical mapping system that helps researchers customize low-cost hardware to conduct studies in cardiac electrophysiology.
