Connor Burnett
Connor Burnett is originally from Phoenix, AZ, and graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in computer science. During his time at GW, Connor worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) for a software engineering course. During the summer of 2021, he worked as a cybersecurity engineering intern at M.C Dean, performing system hardening for U.S. military access control servers. The following summer, Connor worked as a mobile software engineering intern at Alarm.com, developing high-performance mobile applications to improve the speed and accuracy of security system installations. Connor is currently working as a software engineer at Alarm.com in Denver, Colorado.Lauren Hahn
Lauren Hahn graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She is from Rockville, MD. While at GW, she was a member of Women in Computer Science (WiCS) and had been working as a learning assistant & undergraduate teaching assistant for a couple of years. During the summer of 2022, she interned at Northrop Grumman as a software engineer in space systems. After graduation, Lauren will be pursuing her master’s degree in computer science at GW focusing on software engineering and systems. She will also continue her internship at Northrop Grumman for the summer of 2023 as a software engineer.Victoria Hennemann
Victoria Hennemann is originally from Providence, RI and earned her BS in 2023 in computer science. She has worked numerous internships within Cyber Security including an internship at Los Alamos National Laboratory, General Electric Renewable Energy, and Battelle. Working in vulnerability research at Los Alamos and Battelle confirmed her passion for security. She will be continuing her pursuit of cybersecurity full-time after graduation. During her undergraduate years at GW, she participated in SEASSPAN, WICS, and Women in Cybersecurity. She was also involved in research in the George Washington Usable Security and Privacy Lab.Meilian Kurlas
Meilian Kurlas graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. During her time at GW, she was co-director of George Hacks, a SEAS Student Peer Advisory Network mentor, a University Honors Program peer advisor, on the E-Board of Tau Beta Pi, and conducted research in Dr. Park's Assistive Robotics & Tele-Medicine Lab. She was also fortunate enough to study abroad in London at Queen Mary in the fall of 2022. Mei interned at a non-profit, May We Help, in her hometown of Cincinnati, OH, and at Leidos in Arlington, VA. After graduation, she will return to Leidos as a software engineer intern.Christopher Lemkan
Christopher Lemkan is originally from Tinton Falls, NJ, and graduated GW in 2023 with a BS in civil engineering with a focus in environmental engineering as well as a minor in chemistry. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree, he was a captain and junior captain of the Steel Bridge team, and he was on the e-board of ASCE. During the summer of 2022, he worked with Morgan Engineering as a Surveying Intern where he worked and gained experience in the field. During his senior year, he continued research with Professor Li on the Group 4 elements alloy project.Arielle Maignan Arielle Maignan will be participating in a 3-week NSF study abroad program at KAIST University in South Korea in the summer of 2023. She will be continuing her education at George Washington University getting a master’s in biomedical engineering and concentration in Engineering Management. During graduate school she will be the Clark/Co-Curricular Fellow.
Adam Poché Adam Poché is originally from New Orleans, LA, and graduated GW in 2023 with a BS in mechanical engineering. In previous years, he interned at Tulane University’s cancer research laboratory and was an undergraduate researcher in the Leftwich Lab at GW studying sea lion swimming. During his time at GW, Adam was a member of Engineers Without Borders and GW’s oldest a cappella group, the GW Troubadours. Following graduation, he will be attending Brown University in pursuit of his PhD in mechanical engineering.
Michael Ryan Michael Ryan is originally from Warwick, RI. He earned a degree in biomedical engineering with a minor in public health in May of 2023. While at GW, he served as president of the Biomedical Engineering Society, was a mentor on the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network and competed on the GW Club Swimming team. Michael worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Zderic's Therapeutic Ultrasound Lab, where he investigated the effectiveness of applying ultrasound to the thyroid gland to initiate hormone release. He continued this work over the summer of 2022 as a SUPER fellow at GW. He also had the opportunity to give back to the community during his time as an undergraduate student, most notably his participation in the Atoms to Astronauts STEM tutoring program.
Kevish Shah Kevish Shah is originally from Monroe, NJ, and graduated from SEAS with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. During the summers of 2021 and 2022, Kevish worked as a structural engineering intern at DeSimone Consulting Engineers in New York City, focusing on mixed-use and residential projects. Kevish also worked in the SEAS Department of Alumni Relations, helping the team with outreach, event planning, and coordination. In the fall of 2021, Kevish studied abroad in Ireland at the University College Dublin. After graduation, he will be working for Deloitte in Rosslyn, VA serving the Government and Public Services sector.

Cade Adelman Cade Adelman graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, as well as a minor in psychology and electrical engineering. As an undergraduate, he was the President of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, Vice President of the Biomedical Engineering Society, and a mentor of the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network. Although not an area of academic study, he is excited about the world of block chain technologies and helped to found the GW Crypto organization. After graduation, he accepted a job at Medline Industries as an engineer in their quality division.
Samantha Danison Samantha Danison graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with a concentration in robotics. During her time at GW she was actively involved in the GW Baja Team, as well as the Design-Build-Fly Team. Through the Clark program she was able to study abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia in the spring of 2020. Beginning in the summer of 2021 she interned at an adaptive Lidar company called AEye in Dublin, CA. During her internship she assisted the operations team to implement a manufacturing execution system to allow the transition from smaller scale prototyping to large scale manufacturing. She continued her work throughout her senior year and was offered a job to continue there after graduation.
Kaitlin Fagan
Kaitlin Fagan graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in engineering management and systems engineering with a minor in Statistics in May 2022. While at GW, Kaitlin served a teaching assistant in the EMSE department helping students and professors adjust to online instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kaitlin also worked as a research assistant, performing analysis on the ways transportation has changed over time in the DMV area. During spring 2020, Kaitlin studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Kaitlin started her professional career with M.C. Dean as a systems engineer in their automation department.Camille Humphreys Camille Humphreys graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and a minor in electrical engineering. During the summer of 2019, she interned with the Fellowship of Orthopedic Researchers in New Orleans, where she was involved in testing ways to alleviate spinal pressure. In the summer of 2020, she returned to the Fellowship of Orthopedic Researchers where she compared wear characteristics of various implant materials. During the summer of 2021 and throughout her senior year, Camille did research in the nanofabrication lab at GW with Professor Lu, fabricating medical devices used to measure and modulate cardiac activity. After graduation, she accepted a job at Epic Systems, a provider of medical software, as a technical solutions engineer.
Kathryn Jaroszynski Kathryn Jaroszynski graduated from SEAS in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering with a minor in mechanical engineering. During her time at GW, Kathryn was the co-president of SEAS Ambassadors, a mentorship program for sophomore and transfer students. She was also involved in Alpha Omega Epsilon, the Biomedical Engineering Society, the Engineer's Council, and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Kathryn conducted research in Dr. Loew’s Medical Imaging and Analysis laboratory, where she worked on the lab’s infrared breast imaging project to aid in the early detection of breast cancer. Kathryn studied abroad at the University College Dublin, Ireland, in spring 2020. In the summer of 2021, she interned at the National Institutes of Health conducting biomedical optics research. Kathryn is currently attending the University of Pennsylvania pursuing her Ph.D. in Bioengineering.
Abigail Lukas
Abigail Lukas graduated from SEAS with a degree in biomedical engineering and minors in mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. She is now working at BD, a leading medical device company, as a part of the Manufacturing Development Program. Her first rotation in the program is in Columbus, NE as a manufacturing engineer for pharmaceutical systems. During her time at GW, she was President of the Society of Women Engineers and Marketing/Philanthropy Chair before. She was also the Vice President and Professional Development Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Society. During the summer of 2019, winter of 2020, and summer of 2020 she interned with MTI Corporation in Pleasant Prairie, WI, where she was involved with the design and testing of electrical motors, drivers, and controllers for the aerospace industry and the Department of Defense. In the summer of 2021, she served as an automation engineering intern for medical device production, working with complex robotics at Medline Industries in her hometown. When she is not working or studying, she is coaching water polo to kids ages 8-18. During the spring of 2020 Abigail studied abroad at the University of Technology, Sydney.Claudio Martinez Claudio Martinez is originally from Springfield, VA. He graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. During the spring of 2020, Claudio studied abroad in Sydney, Australia, at the University of New South Wales, taking classes in artificial intelligence. In the summer of 2021, he worked as a production engineering intern at Facebook, where he collaborated alongside software engineers in the AI PE Infra Organization, designing and implementing solutions to aid their machine learning initiatives. He is currently participating in the Technology Development Program at Capital One, a two-year rotational program that allows associates to experience different engineering roles within the company.
Gabriella Petrillo
Gabriella Petrillo graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering with a minor in electrical engineering. She was born in Venezuela but was raised in Puerto Rico and spent her high school years in Germany. Gabriella was a member of SEAS Together, Alpha Omega Epsilon engineering sorority and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. She also conducted research in Professor Park’s Assistive Robotics and Tele-Medicine Lab. During the summer of 2019, she interned with Arcos Dorados (Puerto Rican McDonald’s Corporate Office) performing supply chain data analysis. In the summer of 2021, Gabriella interned at Amarex Clinical Research as a Medical Writer. After graduation she will be returning to Amarex Clinical Research as a Medical Writer.Jenna Pressman
Jenna Pressman is originally from Westchester, NY, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering with a minor in psychology from SEAS at George Washington University. At GW, she competed on the women’s Cross Country and Track team, and was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society. In summer of 2021, she interned in London at Hyperoptic, and during her senior year she worked in research at the Children’s National Hospital. Following graduation, Jenna will be pursuing her master’s degree in biomedical engineering at George Washington University and serving as the Graduate Clark Fellow as a part of GW’s Clark Scholars Program. She will also continue her work in research at Children’s National Hospital in the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation.
Kiera Rudden-Flanagan
Kiera Rudden-Flanagan graduated from SEAS in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering and a minor in classical studies. Kiera currently works at Lockheed Martin as a finite element method analysis engineer. They are originally from Seattle, WA. During their time at GW, Kiera was involved with Theta Tau and Design/Build/Fly. They also served on the boards of student organizations such as GW Women's Ice Hockey, oSTEM at GW, and GW Shakespeare Company. Kiera spent spring 2020 studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland at University College Dublin. While a student at GW, Kiera interned at TLG Aerospace, a.i. solutions, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.Alexander Yan
Alexander Yan graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with an aerospace concentration. He is originally from Miami, FL and practices martial arts, photography, and R/C piloting. He was a fencer in GW Club Fencing and the test pilot and Project Manager of GW’s Design/Build/Fly team. Alexander is also a SEAS Together committee member and mentor who promoted inclusivity on campus and tutored students one-on-one in STEM courses. During summer 2019, he interned with Advanced Aerodynamics, LLC, where he prototyped novel small ship propulsion systems. He subsequently became a finalist in the 2019 SEAS R&D Showcase, and I-Corps awarded a grant for his research. Alexander spent his spring 2020 semester studying abroad at Queen Mary University of London. He also worked remotely with Dusenberry Entertainment during summer 2020 researching the use of AR and AI in children's media and toys. During the summer of 2021, he interned at Boeing with the 737 flight controls team, and after graduation, returned to the Boeing 737 team to work full-time. - 2021 Graduates

Alex Broaddus
Alex Broaddus is originally from Ashburn, VA, and graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in computer science. Alex was a founding member of Looking Glass, GW’s first virtual reality club, and was also an active member of GW Robotics during his time at GW. During the summer of 2019 he interned with the GW Office of Technology Services, developing web applications for GW’s Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. He then went on to study abroad at Queen Mary University of London during the Spring 2020 semester. Alex is currently working in the Bay Area as a software developer at YouTube.Jacob Cannizzaro
Jacob Cannizzaro is originally from Brattleboro, VT. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science with a focus on cyber security and is now working as a cyber risk analyst for Deloitte in Arlington, VA. During his freshman and sophomore years, Jacob helped to put on hackathons with a group called Hackital. During the summer of 2019 he interned with Dovel Technologies in Rockville, MD, as part of an artificial intelligence/machine learning engineering team. In the first semester of his junior year, Jacob helped new members of the SEAS community through the Learning Assistant program at GW. In his junior year, Jacob also developed for a startup called Last Call for Food, an initiative to get affordable food to struggling college students.Katherine Goldrick
Katherine Goldrick graduated from SEAS in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. While attending GW, she was a member of the pre-health professional fraternity Delta Epsilon Mu, a member and scholarship recipient of the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi, a learning assistant for physics courses, a teaching assistant for a biomedical engineering course, a mentor through the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network, and a recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award. During her spring 2019 semester, she studied abroad at Queen Mary University of London. When GW classes moved online for the 2020-2021 academic year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Katherine lived at home on Long Island, NY, where she shadowed a dermatologist and volunteered in the emergency department of a hospital. She is currently working as a medical assistant/technician for an ophthalmic surgeon and has continued working remotely with Professor Igor Efimov’s Cardiovascular Engineering Laboratory. Katherine hopes to attend medical school in fall 2022 and is taking this time during her gap year to work.Arianna Haven
Arianna Haven graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering with a focus in the design of mechanical systems. While working towards her master’s degree, Arianna is serving as the Graduate Clark Fellow for GW’s Clark Scholars Program. During her undergraduate career at GW, Arianna was an active member of the GW Baja Team and was the captain for her last two years. She was also involved in the professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau. She had the opportunity to study abroad in the spring of 2019 at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Beginning in the summer of 2019, she interned at NASA's Langley Research Center (LaRC), where she worked on the Scientifically Calibrated In-Flight Imagery (SCIFLI) team to increase the infrared imaging capabilities of the wind tunnels at the center. She continued interning with them throughout her junior and senior years and has since been offered a job to continue working with the SCIFLI team at LaRC.
Nicholas Jin
Nicholas Jin graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a minor in music. Nicholas now works for Lockheed Martin as a radar systems engineer. He is originally from Princeton, NJ. While at GW, he was on the club swim team and played cello in the chamber music program. Additionally, he tutored at the nearby DC small public magnet, School Without Walls. In the spring 2020 semester, he studied abroad at the University of Technology, Sydney. During his summers as an undergraduate student, he had the opportunity to intern at the electric utility Exelon-ConEd in the Emerging Technologies Division and Distribution Automation Division.Joseph Signorelli
Joseph Signorelli graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering concentrated in aerospace. Throughout his time as an undergraduate, Joseph participated in multiple SEAS organizations, including the GW Rocket Team, Baja SAE, and Undergraduate Ambassadors. In the spring 2019 semester, he studied abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia. Joseph had internship experiences at Honeywell, Northrop Grumman and, most recently, The Aerospace Corporation, where he developed computational tools to support analysis for multiple different launch vehicle programs, including Falcon 9 and Atlas V. He is currently pursuing a PhD in aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a research focus on computational hypersonic aero-thermo-elasticity.Zachary Stecher
Zachary Stecher graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering and a minor in business administration. During his time at GW, Zachary served as a mentor and events coordinator for the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network and was a member of the GW Club Triathlon team. During his spring 2019 semester, he studied abroad at the University of Technology, Sydney in Sydney, Australia. Since the summer of 2019, Zachary has worked with CEE professor Dr. Pedro Silva on two earthquake-based structural engineering research projects, one using rounded post-tensioned shear walls to dissipate energy through friction, and the other using fiber-reinforced polymers to retrofit rectangular columns. Last summer, he interned with EXP in Washington, DC and previously interned with Remington and Vernick Engineers at home in Atlantic City, NJ. Zachary is currently pursuing a graduate degree in civil engineering with a structural focus at GW and is serving as the SEAS graduate administrative fellow.Arjun Vijay
Arjun Vijay graduated from SEAS in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in computer science. During his time at GW, Arjun worked as a teaching assistant for several computer science courses and served as an undergraduate ambassador for the SEAS Ambassadors Program. During the spring of 2020, Arjun studied abroad at the American University of Paris in Paris, France. Samantha Brick graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in May 2020. While at GW, she was the 2019 president of the engineering sorority Alpha Omega Epsilon. She also was a 2019-2020 co-captain for the GW Steel Bridge Team and a member of the executive board for the GW chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In Spring 2018, she studied abroad at University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Samantha is now working for KPFF in Seattle, WA.
Caitlin Carfano graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in May 2020. While at GW, she mentored incoming freshmen as a member of the SEAS Student Peer Advisory Network. She also was a member of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional engineering sorority, and she volunteered for Atoms to Astronauts, a STEM education organization that she co-founded. In spring 2019, Caitlin completed a semester of study abroad at the University of Sydney, Australia. She is originally from Toms River, NJ. Caitlin currently works for Lockheed Martin in the greater Philadelphia area.
Camille Daszynski graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and a minor in electrical engineering in May 2020. While at GW, Camille served as president of the SEAS Student Peer Advisory Network and served on the executive boards of the Biomedical Engineering Society, Engineering World Health, and Women's Leadership Network. Camille also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant, tutoring her peers in biomedical based concepts. During the spring of 2018, she completed a semester abroad at Korea University in Seoul, Korea. She is from San Jose, CA. Camille is currently pursuing a graduate degree in regulatory biomedical engineering at GW and will serve as the SEAS Dean’s Fellow for her fifth year. Allegra Farrar graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a concentration in aerospace. While studying at GW, Allegra worked in the Flight Dynamics and Controls Lab modifying UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) control systems using proximity sensors, and she participated in the GW-Sat Cube Satellite project working on attitude determination and control. Allegra also held leadership roles with the GW branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and served as a lead member of the 2020 Design Build Fly Team. She also served as president of the Pi Tau Sigma mechanical engineering honor society. During the summer months, Allegra held substantial internships such as working on the James Webb Space Telescope at the Northrop Grumman’s Space Park campus. Allegra also completed a semester abroad at University College Dublin, Ireland, in spring 2018. She is a proud member of the National Society of Black Engineers and a recipient of the Walter and Christine Darden Scholarship, as well as the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Allegra is excited to pursue a graduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she will engage in research to support space exploration. Delaney Foster graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. While at GW she was a member of the GW Robotics Team, GW Rocket Team, and GW Undergraduate Review. Delaney was also a member of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional engineering sorority, and a mentor for the SEAS Student Peer Advisory Network. In spring 2018, she studied abroad at University College Dublin, in Ireland. Delaney now works for Microsoft as a mechanical engineer for Surface in Seattle, WA. Nathan Pollock graduated from SEAS in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. During his time at GW, Nathan was a peer assisted learning tutor for SEAS, as well as a member of Pi Tau Sigma and GW Eagles. In the spring of 2018, he studied abroad at University College Dublin, in Ireland. Nathan is employed by General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, where he supports the active fleet of submarines in the US Navy. He is originally from Latrobe, PA.
Zachary Williams graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. During his time at GW, he served as the president of Theta Tau, a co-ed professional engineering fraternity; president of Engineering World Health; and a mentor in the SEAS Student Peer Advisory Network. In spring 2018, Zachary spent his semester abroad in Dublin, Ireland at the University College Dublin. After graduation, Zachary will continue working as a product development engineer at Otolith Labs in Washington, DC. In fall 2020, he will begin serving as the first Clark Graduate Fellow, while working toward his M.Eng. degree in regulatory biomedical engineering.

Sydney Bailes graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in May 2019. She is originally from Nashville, TN. While at GW, Sydney was a member of the University Honors Program, where she served as an Honors Peer Advisor to incoming freshmen. Sydney was also a member of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional engineering sorority, and she volunteered as an instructor for the An Bryce Foundation's Saturday Institute, where she helped teach sixth graders reading and math. Sydney completed a semester of study abroad at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in spring 2017. Sydney is pursuing a graduate degree in biomedical engineering at Boston University. Jackie Bellefeuille graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in engineering management and systems engineering in May 2019. She also completed minors in computer science and political science. While at SEAS she was a member of the GW Robotics Team, the GW Chapter of Engineers Without Borders, and the Society of Women Engineers. Jackie completed a study abroad semester at Korea University in fall 2017. Jackie works for Deloitte LLP as a member of the Strategy and Operations Division in the Washington, DC metro area.
Joelle Dowling graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. While at GW she was a sister in the Kappa Delta sorority and a member of the GW Ultimate Frisbee team. During spring 2017, Joelle studied abroad for a semester at Korea University. During the summer of 2018 she interned in Madrid, Spain, for a National Science Foundation program investigating autonomous and electric vehicles. Joelle is from Washington Township, NJ. She currently is a graduate student in electrical engineering at Stanford University. Meghan Englert graduated from SEAS in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering. She is originally from Wyckoff, NJ. While at GW she was a member of the GW Club Softball Team and served as fundraising chair for this organization. She completed a semester of study abroad at University College Dublin, Ireland in spring 2017. Meghan is employed by Systems Planning and Analysis in Alexandria, VA, on the Ship Systems Integration Team, where she supports national defense projects. Conor Gillespie graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering in May 2019. While at GW, Conor was a co-captain of the GW Baja SAE team and played violin in the University Orchestra. In spring 2017 he studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland, at University College Dublin. Conor is originally from West Chester, PA. He currently works for Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company, in Cambridge, MA. Jonathan Medley graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in May 2019. While at GW he was also a Presidential Scholar in the Arts (in Theater). Kyle Pett is originally from Toms River, NJ. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering in May 2019. While at SEAS he was also employed at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum as part of the museum’s explainers’ program. His hobbies include swimming, hiking, and exploring new places, especially here in DC. He completed a semester of study abroad at the University of New South Wales, Australia, in spring 2017. Kyle works for Leidos Corporation in the Washington, DC metro area. Dietrich Reidenbaugh graduated with a Bachelor of Science in computer science in May 2019. While at SEAS he led projects for the SEAS Computing Facility, was the treasurer for the GW Association for Computing Machinery, and served as the director of finance for the GW Residence Hall Association. In spring 2017, he studied abroad at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea. Dietrich is from Boise, ID. He currently works for Amazon Corporation in Seattle, WA.
Alexander Snouffer graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering. He is originally from Hagerstown, MD . During the fall of 2017, Alex studied abroad at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Outside of school, he enjoys restoring vintage metal working machinery and mechanical antique watches. Colby Bott graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil and environmental engineering in 2018. Colby now works for Clark Construction in California. While at GW Colby mentored incoming engineering freshmen with the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisor Network (SEASSPAN). He also served as a technical producer on the board of Forbidden Planet Production, a student theatre group, and performed with the GW Band. Colby completed a semester of study abroad in Dublin, Ireland at University College Dublin in spring 2016. Colby is from Plymouth, MA. Sara Foreman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering in 2018. She is now an analytics consultant at Deloitte Touche Tohmasdu Limited, a multinational professional services corporation. While at GW Sara worked at the GW Office of Undergraduate Admissions as part of the Visitor Information Program and acted as tour guide for prospective students. In spring 2016, she studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland at University College Dublin. Sara is from Malverne, NY. Robert Gifford graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science in 2018. He is now a PhD student in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. Robert grew up in Nantucket, MA, where he discovered his passion for computer programming in high school. While at GW he worked on operating system-based research under the supervision of GW Professor Gabriel Parmer. Robert enjoyed being a guitar hobbyist and competing in Ultimate Frisbee on the National Mall. He was also a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity and was one of the founders of GW's Systems Hackers Club. Robert completed a semester of study abroad in Berlin, Germany, in the spring 2017. Kate McNally graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science in 2018. She is a Master of Science student in computer science at GW and assists undergraduate students as a computer science teaching assistant. While at GW Kate was the vice president of the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisor Network (SEASSPAN). In spring 2017, Kate studied abroad at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, taking both computer science and humanities courses. Nathalie Mitchell graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science in 2018. She is currently a Master of Science student in computer science at GW. She previously interned at Lockheed Martin and is interested in pursuing software engineering. While at GW, Natalie was involved with the Association for Computing Machinery, Society of Women Engineers, and Engineers Without Borders. She completed a semester of study abroad at Queen Mary, University of London in spring 2017. Nathalie is from North Potomac, MD. Tania Singh graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree is biomedical engineering in 2018. She is currently pursuing a thesis Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering at GW, and she plans to complete an MD/Ph.D. program. Tania has been with working SEAS Professor Vesna Zderic's Therapeutic Ultrasound Lab since the summer of 2015 studying the effects of ultrasound on pancreatic beta cells. Caitlin Whitter graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science in 2018. She is currently pursuing a PhD in computer science at Purdue University. Caitlin was an undergraduate researcher and instructor in the GW computer science department, a member of the University Honors Program, the co-president of Women in Computer Science, and a mentor in the School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network (SEASSPAN). Elias "Eli" Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a minor in economics in 2017. During his time at GW, Eli was an active participant in SEAS tutoring, and the tutoring program for high school students in math and science at the nearby School Without Walls. Eli is also passionate about entrepreneurship and was a semi-finalist in the GW New Business Venture Competition. Eli is employed as a software engineer at SalesforceIQ in Palo Alto, California. He is from Westport, Connecticut.
Conor Lyman , originally from Connecticut, graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering. While at GW, Conor was very active in the SEAS community. He was a SEASSPAN mentor to incoming freshman engineering for three years, serving his senior year as the organization's vice president. Conor also was a SEAS tutor and spent two years as an undergraduate teaching assistant for freshman- and sophomore-level mechanical engineering classes. Conor also studied abroad in the spring of his sophomore year in Dublin, Ireland. He spent one summer as an undergraduate research assistant in a robotics lab on campus and spent the summer before his senior year interning for Google in its wearable technology division. Conor now works for Lockheed Martin in California as a research scientist.
Abbie Gillen graduated from GW in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering with minors in computer science and biology. While attending GW, Abbie participated in the professional engineering sorority Alpha Omega Epsilon, Tau Beta Pi, the STAR tour guide program, and GW’s Honors Program. Abbie studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain during her junior year, and completed internships at the National Institutes of Health and the Northeastern University Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute. She is currently working at Vencore in Chantilly, Virginia. Abbie is originally from Johns Creek, Georgia.
Gabby Potvin, from Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated in 2017 with a degree in systems engineering and a minor in business administration. Throughout her time at GW, Gabby gained valuable experience in many different industries through various internships with PwC, the International Finance Corporation, Ameritas Insurance, Clark Construction, and Kao. She is particularly interested in data analytics and process automation. Gabby will start her career as an advisory associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, on the public-sector Data Analytics Team. Engineering, volunteering, and international travel are three of her passions. Gabby enjoyed her involvement with Engineers Without Borders as the fundraising chair and co-president. She studied abroad in Tokyo, Japan in 2015.
Joshua Shapiro graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, focusing on machine learning and natural language processing. During college, he served on the executive board for the GW Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery, was a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, and acted as an undergraduate teaching fellow for Computer Architecture, Software Engineering, and Algorithms. Joshua spent a semester studying abroad at The Korea University in Seoul, South Korea. As a sophomore, he interned with the social venture Pedal Forward, where he helped design a Kickstarter marketing campaign and competed in the Rice Business Plan Competition, winning $10,000 for the company. Joshua interned with IBM Cloud Managed Services for two summers. Currently, Joshua is working for IBM Research in Yorktown Heights, New York, focusing on machine learning with Watson. He is from Tampa, Florida.

He was also the top ranked undergraduate "Super Smash Bros. Melee" player at GW. Sragvi credits a developing passion for the arts to his semester studying abroad at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Dor Hirsh Bar Gai, originally from Israel, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy in 2016. As an undergraduate he focused his studies on sustainable infrastructure, urban food systems, and social, environmental, and economic dimensions of sustainability. With the support of the Clark Engineering Scholars Program, Dor participated in Foodworks and worked on local food initiatives with Vermont’s Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets during the summer of 2015. During his senior year, he interned at the GW Solar Institute as a solar analyst for low-income solar projects. Throughout college, Dor has tutored School Without Walls students in science and math and has been a resident advisor. In 2017, Dor completed a Master of Science degree in environmental and energy management with a graduate certificate in sustainable urban planning through GW’s Presidential Administrative Fellowship (PAF). He also worked for SEAS on sustainability and academic affairs as part of his PAF placement.
Adam Gray graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, focusing on both the design of human-computer interfaces and machine learning. Also passionate about entrepreneurship, Adam was a finalist in the 2012 Pitch George elevator pitch competition, a business plan competition in which contestants have three minutes to convince a panel of judges to invest in their start-up venture. During his time at GW, Adam completed an internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Research Lab and two internships with Microsoft Corporation. Following graduation, Adam returned to Microsoft to work on the HoloLens UX Platform team. Adam is from Brookline, MA.
Samantha Starr , from St. Charles, MO, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering in May 2016. During her time as an undergraduate, she completed research at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Washington University in St. Louis. She served as president of Alpha Chi Sigma, the professional chemistry fraternity during her senior year. She also served as the secretary of the Biomedical Engineering Society during her junior and senior years. In the classroom, she served as a learning assistant for University Physics I and II and as an undergraduate teaching fellow for Biomedical Engineering Seminar I and II. Samantha completed a semester abroad at the University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia during the spring semester 2014. Currently, Samantha is pursuing an M.D. at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Ian Wong is a qualified Nuclear Shift Test Engineer at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard where he conducts tests and prepares Virginia Class submarine reactor plants for safe repair and maintenance. He graduated from GW with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil and environmental engineering and a minor in business administration. Ian notes that the Clark scholarship gave him the confidence that he could succeed in a foreign environment. He was co-captain of the GW men’s volleyball club team and the president of the GW Hawaii Club. Ian was named to the all-tournament team at the 2016 National Club Volleyball tournament for his division. He is also a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society and the GW Chapter of Theta Tau, the professional engineering fraternity. He received the Tau Beta Pi scholarship and Theta Tau Kalv scholarship. Ian studied in Istanbul, Turkey at Bagazici University in the spring semester 2014, and served an intern with Clark Construction on the District House, GW’s new super dorm. After graduating, he worked for Clark Construction as a Project Engineer on Valo Apartments and St. Matthew’s church until its completion in 2019 before returning home to Honolulu, HI.

Nicholas Asarese graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering in May 2015. He was a three-time recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, given to those in the top 2% academically in their class. He served as president of Pi Tau Sigma, the mechanical engineering honor society during his senior year. Nicholas was also a member of Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, Society of American Military Engineers, and the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, and he served as a residential advisor for incoming freshmen engineers. He is also a recipient of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Medal of Honor Scholarship. After graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, and following his initial infantry training, attended Naval Flight School in Pensacola, FL. Nicholas is from Honeoye Falls, New York.
Emily Fusco, originally from Beverly, Massachusetts, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in computer science and mathematics in August 2015. While an undergraduate, Emily completed a research fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology and has interned with the United States Naval Research Laboratory since her junior year. In addition to tutoring computer science and mathematics, Emily was involved in both the Alpha Omega Epsilon engineering sorority and Epsilon Sigma Alpha community service sorority. She had leadership roles in both organizations, serving as Engineers' Council representative for ΑΘΕ and as a member of the executive board for EΣA. Emily completed a semester abroad at University College in London, England during the fall semester 2013. She subsequently began working towards an Master of Science in Cyber Security in Computer Science at GWU while continuing work at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.
Andrea Lehn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in 2015. While at SEAS she worked with MAE Professor Megan Leftwich to investigate the role of amniotic fluid during child birth and was a visiting student at Harvard University's Lauder Lab to study instabilities in swimming hydrodynamics. Without the Clark Scholarship, these in-depth and meaningful research engagements would not have been possible. She is also grateful for support to study abroad at The University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. After graduation she joined the Experimental Hydrodynamics Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering.
Josephine “Josie” Mascher graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in May 2015. While at SEAS, she held leadership positions in the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Association of Energy Engineers, and Epsilon Sigma Alpha. She was an active member of the SEAS Peer Advising Network where she mentored incoming freshmen. One of her most memorable college experiences was studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Josie interned with Clark Construction on the new GWU Science and Engineering Hall and now works for this company as an office engineer. Josie is from Salt Lake City, Utah. Allan Richmond “Arich” Morales graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering in May 2015. During the summer of 2014 he participated in the Computational Science for Undergraduate Research Experience at the National Institute of Computational Science at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. While at an undergraduate at GW, Arich was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, the Philippine Cultural Society, and the Agape Christian Fellowship. In the spring semester of 2013, he studied at University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Arich continued his education through the combined five-year Bachelor of Science/Master of Science degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at GW. Arich is from Los Angeles, California. Shayda Shahbazi is from Reston, VA, and graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. During her time at GW, Shayda was involved in the Society of Women Engineers, serving as Engineers Council's representative, treasurer, and president. In the spring semester of 2013, she studied at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea. During her undergraduate career, she interned with Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, Honeywell Aerospace, and Cisco Systems. Liam Cusack is an alumni of the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering. During his college career, he was involved with acapella, athletics, and several SEAS extracurricular groups. Liam notes that the Clark Scholarship helped him gain confidence in his leadership and technical capabilities. He interned with GW Professor Erica Gralla during the summer of 2014, focusing on the optimization of humanitarian logistics in disaster response. Liam now works at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory where he uses systems engineering to provide significant contributions to critical challenges facing governmental organizations, ensuring the reliability of complex technologies that safeguard our nation’s security and advance the frontiers of space.
John (“Jay”) Donahue graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering in May 2014, receiving the Mechanical Design award at graduation. While at GW, Jay studied abroad in Dublin, was a member of the SEAS Entrepreneur Club, interned at NASA, and participated in research within the Micropropulsion and Nanotechnology and the Smart Systems Laboratories. After graduation, Jay was a flight controls engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation. He is currently an MBA candidate at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Geneva Goldwood graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in May 2014. She was the SEAS Distinguished Scholar at the May 2014 graduation and a 2013 recipient of the GW Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. While at GW she was active in the Alpha Omega Epsilon engineering sorority, the SEAS chapter of Engineers without Borders, and GW’s Autism Speaks organization. Geneva, who studied in Dublin, Ireland during the spring semester 2012, comments that “removing myself from the culture I am accustomed to has helped me to see the world a different way, and also to understand myself differently.” Geneva is from Tacoma, Washington. She works for with K2M, a Leesburg, Virginia biomedical products firm.
Molly Olsen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in May 2014. During her time at SEAS she studied abroad at Korea University in Seoul, South Korea; was a mentor for freshmen for three years as a member of School of Engineering and Applied Science Student Peer Advisory Network (SEASSPAN); held multiple office positions for the GW Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers; and held a position on the Engineers' Council. As an undergraduate, she interned with Clark Construction on the new GW Science and Engineering Hall for two years. Molly currently works for Skanska USA Building as a project engineer on the redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport in New York City. She intends to apply to business school in 2017. Sarah Rood graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in May 2014. While at GW she was a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Tau Beta Pi honor society, Theta Tau engineering fraternity, and the Colonial Brass and Symphonic Band. Janeen Williams graduated from SEAS with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering in May 2014. Janeen subsequently graduated from Northwestern University in June 2015 with a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and now works as a Medical Device Analyst for ProcuredHealth in Chicago. While at GW she was the President of the Alpha Omega Epsilon engineering society, Records Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Society, and was a member of both the National Society of Black Engineers and the SEAS Peer Advising Network.
