Recent Career Milestones Highlight the Global Influence of GW Engineering

The GW Engineering community continues to expand its influence across the global professional landscape, with three recent appointments highlighting the range of expertise and leadership that define the school’s network.

In the article “HKA adds Jorge Berrios as principal and LoLo Adigwe as director,” Consulting.us reports that HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has hired GW Engineering alumna LoLo Adigwe as director of its construction, claims, and expert services practice. Adigwe joins HKA from Bloom Energy and is currently pursuing a doctor of engineering degree at GW.

She has expertise across the project lifecycle of wind, solar, batter energy storage, and distributed energy programs–from planning and procurement to construction and operational transition.”

In the press release “Enablence Names Dr. James Gyarmathy as Chief Intelligence Officer,” The Globe and Mail announced that Enablence Technologies Inc. appointed GW Engineering alumnus James Gyarmathy as its Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO). 

Here is an excerpt from the article: “Dr. Gyarmathy holds a Doctor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from The George Washington University, with research focused on detecting and understanding yield behavior in semiconductor manufacturing through spatiotemporal analysis. She is also a patented inventor recognized for bridging advanced research and real-world implementation. Her doctoral work included analysis of Enablence’s system and manufacturing data.”

In the article “Vodacom Director John Otty to Step Down, Nadia Benabdallah Appointed,” TechAfrica News shares that GW Engineering alumna Nadia Benabdallah is joining Vodacom’s board of directors, effective April 1, 2026. Benabdallah holds an MSc in electrical engineering from GW.

Here is an excerpt from the article: “With over 30 years of experience in telecommunications across the USA and Europe, Nadia began her career at Comsearch, where she led major strategic projects for Lucent Technologies, Sprint Spectrum and US West Communications. She joined Vodafone in 1998 and has held several key positions, including UMTS Development Manager, 3G & Group Programs Director and Technology Strategy Director.”
