Zoox CEO Aicha Evans on Scaling Autonomous Taxis

In the article “I Hitched a Ride in San Francisco’s Newest Robotaxi,” Wall Street Journal (WSJ) journalist Tim Higgins spoke with Aicha Evans, B.S. ‘96, CEO of Zoox, about how her focus on the small stuff–like safety procedures and maintenance efforts–has positioned the company to begin deploying its autonomous taxis later this year. The conversation continued in a recent episode of the Bold Names podcast, where Evans joined Higgins as well as WSJ’s Christopher Mims to discuss how Zoox fits alongside competitors like Waymo and Tesla.
