Lauren Benning-Williams

Lauren Benning-Williams is the Managing Director of Communications and Marketing at the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science (GW Engineering). Formerly, Lauren was the marketing and communication Director at the College of Education at The University of Maryland College Park. In her current role, she’s responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the marketing and communication strategy for GW Engineering. She also provides strategic communication guidance for some of GW’s strategic initiatives, including GW Trustworthy AI (GW TAI), Women in Engineering, and Cyber@GW. She has more than 18 years of experience and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Bowie State University and her Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Trinity University. Lauren is a Board Member of Imagination Stage, an N Street Village Impact Committee member, a member of the National Communication Association’s honor society Lambda Pi Eta, an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
