In the article "GW Serves: Sparking a Love of Science in Local Classrooms," GW Today spotlights Sonse Ransibrahmanakul, a rising sophomore majoring in computer science, who coordinated workshops at high schools across Washington, D.C., and Montgomery County, Maryland, to make biology lessons more hands-on. Dissections are an experiential learning opportunity in biology that Ransibrahmanakul found valuable in his own education. Driven by this, he wanted to ensure that current students could perform them as well, helping them better understand the scientific concepts they were learning in class and become more engaged.

Here is an excerpt from the article: “The sciences are very important. And science is a field that a lot of people sometimes might be taken aback by and might not want to pursue because it can be hard,” Ransibrahmanakul said. “But if they get a better understanding, they might be more enthused.”
