Funding Your Biomedical Technology through the NIH SBIR/STTR Programs
Join Georgetown University, George Washington University, and the National Cancer Institute on Tuesday, February 6th at 2:00 PM ET for the upcoming in-person “Accelerating Innovation: Funding Your Biomedical Technology through the NIH SBIR/STTR Programs” event. Program directors Monique Pond and Sarra Djemil from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Development Center will present funding opportunities for biomedical innovators in the nation’s capital as well as application tips, programs, and entrepreneurial resources available to small business applicants and grantees. Speaker presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
You will learn about:
- SBIR/STTR eligibility requirements
- NIH SBIR/STTR process and new cancer-focused funding opportunities from NCI
- NCI SBIR/STTR initiatives such as the I-Corps at NIH Entrepreneurship Program, Applicant
- Assistant Program, etc.
- Practical strategies on how to successfully submit competitive research proposals
Attendees will also have the opportunity to book one-on-one meetings from 3:30 - 4:00 PM ET with NIH program staff to discuss their projects.
