Assessing & Building Innovation Ecosystems Workshop

Register now for the Assessing and Building Innovation Ecosystems co-hosted by the UIDP and the George Washington University Office of the VP for Research. The goal of the workshop is to bring together the DMV innovation ecosystem stakeholders to prepare for the next round of large innovation ecosystem grants, like the NSF Regional Innovation Engines, EDA Tech Hubs, ARPA-H, etc. These federal grants are huge ($100M+), intended to be transformative, and require multi-institutional collaboration across academia, industry, and the public sectors. This learning event will strive to create a cohort that can continue to engage after the gathering and work to develop practical and impactful strategies.

The event will focus primarily on:

Organizing for Impact: Proposal development, team building, and effective staffing
Assessing Impact: Measuring economic development and talent retention
Small group discussions around talent, innovation and entrepreneurship, managing IP, optimizing diversity, and more.
