Professor Poorvi Vora and her research group conduct research on problems in the general areas of electronic security and privacy and imaging. Their recent projects in security and privacy have focused on end-to-end independently verifiable voting systems--where voters can verify election outcome without being required to trust election officials or voting system software; privacy as a signaling problem in auctions; and the cryptanalysis of entries in the SHA-3 competition. In imaging, they are currently exploring the use of higher-level information in medical atlases to improve tomographic reconstructions. Past contributions due to Professor Vora include the Vora value as a measure of color filter fidelity.
